Giuseppe Verdi was apparently struck by the wonderful Hotel Cannobio on Lake Maggiore; it seems the famous composer was a guest at this renowned and welcoming hotel in 1869 or early 1870.
In fact, there are interesting anecdotes linking one of our rooms to his writing the famous “Aida.” Built in the late 18th century, the hotel increased in prestige as time went by and illustrious guests came to stay. Nowadays, Hotel Cannobio is still very much appreciated for its simple elegance and is considered one of the most beautiful hotels on the shores of Lago Maggiore. The exterior of the hotel has been renewed and restored.
The interior has been modernized by combining the building’s renovated architecture with good Italian design. We invite you to enjoy a romantic atmosphere and a great many pleasant surprises at the Hotel Cannobio.
